  • ​1 large slice sourdough bread

  • 1 tin butter beans

  • 1 small onion, finely diced

  • 1 garlic clove, crushed

  • 350ml passata

  • 1 tsp white sugar

  • 1/2 tsp chipotle pasta

  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika

  • Chopped parsley, to serve

Serves: 2

Complexity: Easy



  1. Add the onion and garlic to a pan with a small amount of oil and cook on a medium heat until softened

  2. Add the chipotle paste and smoked paprika to the pan and combine with the onion

  3. Drain the butterbeans and add to the pan, along with the passata and the sugar

  4. Cook on a medium heat for 5-10 minutes until the butter beans have heated through

  5. Serve on your toast of choice and top with chopped parsley
